From £50, these miniature portraits are painted using tiny brushes and acrylic paint with liquitex glaze. They are carefully worked from digital images. Each stone is selected for its suitabilty to the shape of the subject. The  paint is sealed with two layers of yacht varnish, to protect the surface and bring out the brushstrokes. Portraits usually take between five and seven hours.
